Some brands start with a product idea. Ramona For You started with a feeling.
A feeling of wanting to do things right. Of creating something beautiful and meaningful, for pets, for people, and leaving a mark on their relationships with their pets.
But turning that feeling into a brand wasn’t easy. Especially from a small country like Guatemala.
From “I Want to Be a Vet” to “I Want to Design Something Meaningful”
As a little girl, our founder, Mary Jünger, dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. I loved animals deeply, but as I grew up, I realized that blood, surgery, and wounds weren’t really my thing.
“I still wanted to help, but in my own way.”
So I chose design and Art Direction instead, where I could create, shape experiences, and tell stories. Now, God gave me the opportunity to run my own Branding and Digital Marketing Studio, Neuma... But the dream of doing something for pets never left my heart.
Ramona For You became that bridge. The way to merge my love for animals with the talent for aesthetic and thoughtful design.
It Took Us Two Years to Launch
Between 2018 and 2020, my boyfriend, now husband, worked quietly and persistently.
We tested samples, over and over again. We struggled to find the right materials. We searched for artisans who not only had the skills, but shared our vision. Many times, we felt stuck. Other times, we wondered if the market would even care.
But we kept going. Because when you believe in something deeply, you don’t rush it and we know good thinks take time.
Launching During a Pandemic
Just as our first collection "The Coloricos" was ready in 2020… the world shut down, and somehow, that chaos opened the door.
People connected. They spent more time with their pets. They cared more about where things came from.
And that opened a small window for Ramona For You to bloom in Guatemala.
