Meet Nerito

Nerito, a three-month-old puppy, has overcome tremendous hardships in his young life. Rescued in Cobán, Alta Verapaz, he was subjected to severe abuse by his own family, resulting in a broken spine. They cruelly tied him to a tree without access to water or food, leaving him exposed to harsh weather conditions for several days.

On April, Nerito was finally rescued and hospitalized in Cobán while efforts were made to find assistance for his transfer to Guatemala. Fortunately, a compassionate individual, who didn't even know us, stepped forward, offering to bring him to Guatemala and covering his veterinary expenses.

After arriving in Guatemala, Nerito tested positive for parvovirus and had to undergo another five-day hospitalization, fighting for his life. Miraculously, he managed to overcome the virus and make a full recovery. Due to his special needs, including the use of diapers and assistance with mobility, he required a new temporary home.

Nerito began neural therapy to aid his journey towards walking again, displaying incredible resilience in his determination to regain his mobility.

Now, Nerito is searching for a loving and permanent home where he can receive the care and attention he deserves. Despite the challenges he has faced, Nerito's spirit remains unbroken, and he has an abundance of love and affection to offer.
